Burr was very helpful from beginning to end, going over every detail of the build and involving us at every point. His attention to detail during the initial measurements, and remeasurements, paid off later when we came to match the new floor and roof lines to the original building since, they were spot on. This meticulous approach was evident at many points during the build.

The Burnt Larch cladding resulted in variations of both grain and char and Arran’s keen eye and careful selection of boards ensured the overall aesthetic was just right. They always arrived on time for the agreed days and often worked on to finish any task.

Burr is clearly an experienced tradesman and his time on site was always optimised clearly showing an efficiency of effort. One of the main reasons for selecting Burr for the job was his affable nature. He and Arran were a pleasure to work with and have around our home. The subcontractors he engaged with all spoke very highly of him as a person.

Embarking on this type and scale of work carries a risk for all parties and, in our view, one of the most commendable points must be trust. Based on the quality of the work, the ready involvement on decision points, the steady and consistent pace of work and the nature, values, and integrity of the people, we found trust was achieved early in the project.
